The butterfly knife or "balisong" is a fascinating invention - it marries both play and functionality. While it is primarily a tool used for cutting, many have made an art form out of using gravity to open it. I took it upon myself to craft my dream project and highlight the features of a quality knife. Damascus steel for a strong blade, stonewashed titanium handles for a good grip and ball bearing for a smooth opening.
